Day 54: 04/27/16 - A New Hope

Relegated to what I refer to as "The island of misfit toys,"
The damaged tomato plants seem to be finding a way to
show that they aren't out of the game just yet.

Bits of new growth on these 'twigs' are showing possibility for the season.

The plants that were only moderately damaged were
gathered together into this single pot.

I call this one "Fight Club," as I'm sure they
will struggle for dominance.

There were four plants that held strong and have flourished.
With luck, they all will do well by mid summer.

Day 49: 04/23/16 - Tragedy

Against my better judgement, I left the plants outside.

The strong winds overnight destroyed nearly half the crop.

Sad.

Note to future self: Plants on higher balconies deal with stronger wind.

I am now moving the plants indoors for a while

Transferring out destroyed plants and grouping them together, with hope.

All part of the game.

Day 41: 04/15/16 - Sunlight Split

Half the plants have been moved to a window with sunlight.

The little planter is an organic Parsley I received from work.

I misread the instructions, and the thing expanded like a cupcake in and oven when I added water.

Note to self:  Read the instructions!

And these are the half that don't receive sunlight.

Day 34: 04/08/16 Time to begin the separation

Ice on the balcony.  Still too cold to move outside.

2 more pots are on the way.

End result will be five plants in each long tray (probably will be fighting for space), and six of the strongest plants in their own 6" pot.

At least that's the plan for now.
